This year’s free gift to the public, Allatoona Book Fest hosted and sponsored by the Acworth Cultural Arts Center is full of award-winning, best-selling, highly-successful published authors who are ready, willing, and able to show you the ropes.

          If you ever thought about writing a book, some poetry, a song, or you just want to learn more about the universe of writing, meet a real author, and get a book signed by same, this festival is for you!

International Humanitarian and Author, Paul L. Samuels engaging children from 7-10 in an interactive Poetry Workshop

A panel of authors discussing the Writer’s Process with Georgia Author, Susan C. May as moderator.

The Road to Publication panel with Amazon Best Selling Author, Linda Joyce as moderator.

And Candace Long, National League of PEN Women moderates the panel The Road to Inspiration.

With 20 plus amazing authors to meet, learn from and talk with personally, this year is sure to be an over-the-top event!

                   Program Begins 10:00 a.m. and runs through 2:00 p.m.

          The authors will have books to sell and sign, we are thrilled to have Julian’s Kitchens bringing their mobile kitchen with a special menu for you to purchase your lunch, and this is the first time we are including a children’s program!

2nd Annual Allatoona Book Fest!

 The second annual Allatoona Book Fest will be held October 7, 2017 at the Roberts School Community Center in Historic Downtown Acworth. This event is free and open to the public as a gift from the Acworth Cultural Arts Center.

Jaclyn Weldon White  

Jaclyn Weldon White, the author of nine published books and numerous articles in local and regional magazines will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2nd Annual Allatoona Book Fest, October 7 – 9 in Downtown Acworth Georgia.

Ms. White, Hoschton, GA was born, raised and lived all her life in the South. Known for her mystery writings, she has also authored non-fiction and was the Georgia Author of the Year for Biography in 2011.   

 

Book signing at the Main Street Gallery August 19th

Jaclyn Weldon White, Keynote Speaker at the 2nd Annual Allatoona Book Fest this October and fellow author Katie Smith, coordinator of the PEN women's Painted Sound Workshop will be at the Acworth Cultural Art Center's Main Street Gallery 4815b S. Main Street in downtown Acworth on Saturday August 19th from 3- 6 p.m. The public is invited to meet and greet the authors in person.

Katie Hart Smith will be discussing - "Aspirations of the Heart" & "Couch Time with Carolyn". Books will be available for purchase. Author, Jackie Weldon White will be discussing her books, available at: http://www.jaclynweldonwhite.com

The League of American PEN Women Atlanta

Branch will be conducting a workshop at the 2017 Allatoona Book Festival! PEN women have offered to lead a interactive workshop that is based on the cross-fertilization of the arts, literary, visual and musical to create inspired works. Artists, writers, poets and composers as well as readers and those who just want to be inspired.
